International Holocaust Remembrance Day

On 27 January, people all over the world gather in an annual manifestation. It is the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust – the same date that the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated in 1945.

Join us in honouring the memory of the victims of the Holocaust and show your support for the equal value of all people.

During the evening we will listen to speeches, a lecture and a discussion. We will also witness the awarding of the Emerich Roth Scholarship and the opening of the exhibition Fading Stories.

  • Associate Professor Izabela A. Dahl gives a lecture on the theme: Från vittnesmål till kulturarv: minnet av Förintelsen
  • Stephan Skougaard Carlsson, author talk on the book Nya Resande
  • Stefan Hollmark, Regional Director of Region Gotland

During the evening there will also be an opportunity to make a donation to the Red Cross.

The event will be held in Swedish.
