Jansson became Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor on 1 July 2013, in direct conjunction with the merger between Gotland University College and Uppsala University. A great deal has happened since then. Among other things, the on-campus student body has grown to reach the target of 1,500 students and a graduate school in sustainable development has been established. Moreover, Jansson’s tenure as Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor saw the initiation and formalisation of numerous contacts with the local community on Gotland, notably via the establishment of the University’s strategic partnership with Region Gotland and via the “92 möjligheter” network.

Jansson will continue to be head of department at the Department of Game Design and has several other assignments from the Vice-Chancellor alongside this. On top of that, he has returned to acting in an upcoming film on the Second World War. We wish him all the very best!
