After decades of research, various legislative, grassroot and civil society interventions, practices of female genital mutilations persist in many countries of the world. This presentation employs a critical discourse in analysing the different policy interventions; grassroots involvements /interventions, policy deployments and research done towards addressing the persistent FGM in Kenya, Somaliland and Sweden. The comparative study also highlights the shortcomings of each of the strategies in the three countries.
