From Monday 13 October to 24 October 2025, we host the Third Edition of the Fieldwork Seminar on Decolonizing Research Methodologies in Uppsala and on Gotland.

The DECOLONIZING RESEARCH METHODOLOGIES: is a projet that aims to build up a research school between Burkinabe, Malian, Swedish, and Tanzanian universities. It focuses on empirical data collection, fieldwork relations, ethical challenges, and transnational approaches, and is funded by the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) 2022-2025.

The Fieldwork Seminar in October 2025 focuses on Rural resilience, and resistance. It brings together 15 PhD early career scholars, and 10 faculty staff during two weeks, combining on-campus training, and joint fieldwork.
