3,000 dowloads of 2024 Uppsala Papers in Africa Studies

Uppsala University's Forum for Africa Studies' open access publication series Uppsala Papers in Africa Studies that particularly focuses on collaborative, engaged research, has since 2017 published nine issues (seven in French and two in English) with a total on more than 36,000 downloads.

In 2024, two issues were published. In June, UPAS#9 "Réfugié en son propre pays" on displaced people in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, was published; today it has 2,180 downloads. UPAS#9 is available in hard copy in online book stores (Uppsala University, bokus.com, Adlibris.com, Akademibokhandeln) as well as at the Institut des Sciences Humaines in Bamako.

In September, UPAS#8 "Résistance, alternance, souveraineté" on the crisis and the transition in Mali was published; today it reached 1,000 downloads UPAS#8 is available in hard copy in online book stores (Uppsala University, bokus.com, Adlibris.com, Akademibokhandeln), as well as at the Institut des Sciences des Sociétés in Ouagadougou.

Uppsala Papers in Africa Studies is truly open access; no fees for authors, readers, institutions, or for anyone else.
