CoRE Migration and Health developing an early career research network in Migration and Health
Three Master students in the Global Health programme from Uppsala University, undertook internship August-October 2025, as part of a programme to develop and invest in early career researchers in the field of migration and health, coordinated by the CoRE M&H Cluster of Research Excellence in Migration & Health
The students were hosted by the African Centre for Migration & Society (ACMS) at Wits University in South Africa,working on policy briefs, conducting field studies and engaging with other students at ACMS.
Khadija Ahmed, Betelhem Assefa and Jesper Lidmar got the opportunity to work with practical Migration and Health issues in Johannesburg : their mobility enabled by support from Erasmus mobility funding, coordinated through the CoRE M&H; and supervised by Jo Veary and her team at Wits University.
