We are pleased to invite you to a two-day interdisciplinary conference exploring the theoretical and practical dimensions of automated decision-making in public authorities. This conference marks the concluding event of the interdisciplinary project “The Artificial Public Servant,” generously funded by the Wallenberg Foundations within Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program – Humanity and Society (WASP–HS).

The event will start with a panel discussion titled: “The Artificial Public Servant: Responsible Use of AI in Public Decision-Making”

Call for Papers

We invite submissions of short-paper drafts (up to 10 pages / approx. 4,000 words). After review and revision, selected papers will be published (in an anthology by Uppsala University or in the special issue of the academic journal).

Presentation Format

For each session, two groups (3–4 participants each) will present their prepared papers (max. 15 minutes per paper). Each group will be followed by moderated discussion and approximately 15 minutes of questions and commentary.
