Seminar: High performance computing for HumSam users
- Date: 7 November 2024, 13:15–14:15
- Location: Online event
- Type: Workshop
- Organiser: The Centre for Digital Humanities and Social Sciences (CDHU) and UPPMAX
CDHU will host an online demonstration and Q&A session with Uppmax, tailored for Humanities and Social Sciences researchers. Uppmax (Uppsala Multidisciplinary Center for Advanced Computational Science) is Uppsala University's high-performance computing centre—a resource offering high-performance computers, large-scale data storage, and expertise in using high-performance computing. It is also linked to national computing resources through NAISS (National Academic Infrastructure for Supercomputing in Sweden) and collaborates with CDHU in supporting the humanities and social sciences at Uppsala University.
If you have research data or materials in large volumes that require analysis or processing, even those involving sensitive information, or you’re interested in exploring the resources available from the supercomputing center at Uppsala University, you are very welcome! We will be joined by Jayant Yadav, an applications expert at Uppmax who can help you get started with Uppmax and address any questions you may have about the available resources.
