Mistra Environmental Communication

Mistra Environmental Communication (M-EC) is a four-year research programme that aims to reframe environmental communication, i.e., to mainstream an advanced and inclusive understanding of environmental communication in research, policy and practice.

Centre for Health and Sustainability (CHS) is together with SLU hosting the researchprogram Mistra Environmental Communication where Eva Friman, researcher at CHS, is program director together with Sofie Joosse at SLU. Maria Nyström, coordinator at CHS is also coodinating the program.

CHS is part of the workpackages:

  • Governance, collaboration and resistance in environmental communication, and
  • Co-creating transformations through environmental communication

Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Lund University, Uppsala University, Borås University, University of the Sunshine Coast (Australia), University of Texas in Austin (USA) and Loughborough University (UK). The research program puts great focus on collaboration with societal partners, such as authorities, municipalities, corporations, NGOs, and cultural institutions.
