Call for papers! Workshop in Casual Health Economics

The Centre for Health Economic Research at Uppsala University invites submissions to a small workshop on causal analysis in health economics at Krusenbergs Herrgård, beautifully located by Lake Mälaren outside Uppsala. The workshop aims to inspire discussions and collaborations among leading health economics researchers from the Nordic countries.

Keynote: It is our great honor to welcome Professor Sonia Bhalotra, University of Warwick, as keynote speaker. Professor Bhalotra’s influential research spans health, development, and public policy, shaping academic and policy landscapes globally. 

We invite papers that centers on establishing causal effect in observational data within health economics. Relevant topics include, but are not limited to:

·       Economic determinants of wellbeing and health inequality

·       Effects of health policies on population health

·       Measuring and evaluating quality and effectiveness in healthcare

·       Telemedicine and AI in healthcare

·       Healthcare workers practice styles

Location: Krusenbergs Herrgård is located just outside Uppsala, 25 minutes from Arlanda Airport. Travel (economy) and accommodation will be covered for presenting authors.

Submission: Send a paper or an extended abstract (about 500 words) including title, author information, and contact details by April 15, by email to daniel.knutsson@nek.uu.se. Accepted authors will be notified by April 30.
