HEFUU Workshop June 13-14

On June 13th-14th, the Centre for Health Economic Research (HEFUU) at Uppsala University arranged a workshop at Krusenbergs Herrgård near Uppsala with 20 leading Health Economics researchers from the Nordics. The aim of the workshop was to inspire discussion and collaboration for future research.

The primary focus of the workshop was to discuss ongoing high-quality research in health economics focusing on causal effects in observational data. Topics discuss during the two-day event included the formation of health, gender differences in health and access to health care, health and labor market opportunities, economic aspects of mental health, and the organization and competitions of health care..

On the second day of the event, keynote speaker Professor Sonia Balhotra (University of Warwick) delvired a speech with the title Antidepressant use and adolescent academic achievement. HEFUU was honored to welcome Prof. Balhotra, whose influential research spans health, development as well as public policy and contributes to shaping academic and policy landscapes globally.
