The figure shows that from the fifth year after the women received their residence permit, their employment rate increases by about 10-15 percentage points until the end of the follow-up period.
The reform strengthened the financial incentives to participate in the two-year integration program, and participants got immediate access to activities at the Public Employment Services.
As the base for the study the researchers used register data between 2009 and 2020.
