IFAU report: Foreign-born workers exit labor market earlier
Foreign-born workers leave working life at a higher rate than natives already from the age of 50, according to a new report from IFAU written by UIL's scientific leader Olof Åslund, together with Fredrik Larrson and Lisa Laun.
The difference is largely explained by poorer health and a weaker position on the labor market among immigrants than among natives. If they continue to work until they are 60, the foreign-born often continue to work past 65, instead of following the norm of retirement.
