CoSy lunch seminar 05/11/2019

Abstract: The Internet is a vast, complex and constantly changing system, and in no place is this more evident than with e-commerce websites. Shopping online is often a pain in the butt, and Klarna is investing heavily in using every technique available to make it easier for our customers.

I work with the AI & Automation group at Klarna, and in this talk I'll introduce our problem space: designing intelligent agents which can carry out complex tasks on arbitrary merchant websites, so that the user doesn't have to.

I will discuss the modes of observation available to us, and how we can combine those observations to infer how a website has been designed. I will describe some concrete problems we are attempting to solve, some challenges we've faced, and some we see on the horizon.
