AECC - African Enumerative Combinatorics Community

ISP Mathematics supports the network AECC (formerly know as CoRS - Combinatorial Research Studio). Network members are:

• Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia
• University of Antananarivo, Madagascar
• Makerere University, Uganda
• Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Uganda

Supervising/mentoring collaborators from France and Sweden are:

• Paris City University, France
• Stockholm University, Sweden

AECC has been successful in gathering very talented students and supervising collaborators from Sweden and France. Moreover, almost half of the members of AECC are female scientists.

ISP has supported the network since its formation in 2018.

Objectives

The main objective is to bring together mathematicians, both students and researchers, across Africa with a shared interest in counting problems, generating functions, and discrete structures.
