CMH welcomes new postdoc in medical anthropology

I am very happy to introduce our new postdoc to you, Mirko Pasquini, PhD in Cultural Anthropology (UU). Welcome Mirko! Mirko’s research project “Mistrust in practice: an ethnography of suspicion in general medical practice in the aftermath of COVID-19” has been awarded with a three-year International Postdoc Grant from the Swedish Research Council and from April 4 Mirko is postdoc at CMH. Mirko will carry out great parts of his project in Bologna, at Bologna University and at two primary care centers where he will make ethnographic observations and interviews with caretakers, caregivers and family members.

Mirko carried out his PhD project at Uppsala University as part of the Engaging Vulnerability research program and was awarded the annual Westinska priset for an outstanding dissertation.
