National Women's Helpline
Kvinnofridslinjen provides support for women who are victims of physical, psychological or sexual violence. Calls are free and the caller is anonymous. Call 020-50 50 50.
Support Line for Men
A support line for men who have been subjected to domestic abuse or sexual violence. The support line is open every day from 7 to 21. Call 020-80 80 80 80.
Support Line for Transgender People
A support line for transgender people who have been subjected to domestic abuse or sexual violence. The line is open every day 11 to 19. Call 020-55 00 00.
Online Course on Violence
The online course on violence is an introductory course that provides basic knowledge on men's violence against women and violence in close relationships. The course is aimed at those who work in social services, health care, schools and the legal system. It is also available to the general public. The course is free of charge and takes about three hours to complete.
Violence and Health in Sweden
Exposure to violence is a serious and widespread problem, for the individual as well as for society. NCK has initiated a research project entitled "Violence and Health. Women's and men's exposure to violence from a life-course and population perspective – A national study."
In the study 10,000 women and 10,000 men between the ages of 18 and 74 were invited to participate in a survey and register study on exposure to violence. The study also includes questions regarding health and life circumstances.
