The Center for Neutron Scattering promotes collaboration in the development and use of neutron scattering. Neutron scattering is useful for studying the structure and dynamics of materials, particularly complex mixtures, light elements, and magnetism. This technique is valuable in many disciplines, such as chemistry, physics, materials science and interdisciplinary studies, for studying drug delivery, energy conversion, environmental effects of pollutants and national heritage, for example.
