Applications for 2026 China-Europe School on Neutron and X-ray Scattering now open

The applications for the 2026 China-Europe School on Neutron and X-ray Scattering are now open.

This school offers an excellent opportunity for PhD students, postdocs, and early-career scientists to gain hands-on experience in using spallation neutrons for their research. The program will include lectures and tutorials by experienced instrument scientists (including yours truly!) and expert users from different large-scale research facilities.

Participants will be able to perform real neutron scattering experiments at the China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS), gaining practical experience with time-of-flight neutron scattering instrumentation and experimental techniques.

Hurry up — places are limited to only 30 participants! Travel and accommodation support will be provided for 15 selected students.

The school will be hosted at CSNS 4–13 November 2026.
