The Center for Photon Science at Uppsala University invites you a seminar series over zoom on some scientific opportunities with X-rays presented by leading scientists.
The GALAXIES undulator beamline at Synchrotron SOLEIL is dedicated to inelastic x-ray scattering (IXS) and high energy photoemission (HAXPES) spectroscopy in the tender x-ray range (2.3 – 12 keV) [1]. We will illustrate the capabilities of the IXS and HAXPES endstations at GALAXIES by recent scientific results including XAS / XES at extreme conditions [2], XRS imaging [3], standing wave HAXPES [4] and liquids. Ongoing instrumental developments for both RIXS and HAXPES will be discussed. Finally, we will explore the new possibilities offered by the future SOLEIL Upgrade program.
