Welcome to SweDeliver Webinar with Shahina Akter, PhD student in the Oral drug delivery Work Package, presenting her project Influence of intestinal colloidal structures and self-assembly on lipid-based formulations for enhancing peptide drug bioavailability.

Shahina webinarium

At this autumn's fifth SweDeliver webinar, we meet Shahina Akter, PhD student at the Department of Pharmacy, who in her ongoing research is developing a hybrid of the small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) and the simulation methods to analyse complex intestinal colloidal structures and lipid-rich water-based formulations. The aim of Shanina’s project is to improve our understanding of the constraints and variability associated with the use of permeability enhancer for peptide therapeutics.

Shahina Akter's research is intergrated into the SweDeliver Oral drug delivery Work Package, an environment improving the design of drug delivery systems that fulfil the requirements for absorption from the small intestine and colon.

Researcher Bio Shahina Akter graduated in Pharmacy from Heinrich Heine University Duesseldorf (HHU) in Germany. She received her Master's degree in Industrial Pharmacy, focusing her master’s thesis on Molecular simulations of membrane permeability. After finishing her masters Shahina Akter joined the Uppsala University Drug Delivery group as a PhD student.

Welcome online Thursday 31 October, at 12.15 via zoom at https://uu-se.zoom.us/j/61754508426?from=addon
