Knowledge Utilization (KU) Colloquium 2024

After years of lock-down due to the pandemic, we are pleased to schedule a Knowledge Utilization (KU) colloquium in person!

KU gathers senior and junior researchers in the field of knowledge utilization and knowledge translation. It is an opportunity to learn from and with each other, and we warmly welcome you to Uppsala, Sweden’s fourth largest city with a history dated at least from the 11th century.

The KU Colloquium is an invitational meeting limited to 80 participants, and the spaces will be allocated according to “first come, first served”.

KU24 will stretch over three days (from lunch 24 June to lunch 26 June), with time to engage in group and plenary sessions, as well as reflective walks and networking.

Location

KU24 will take place at Hubben, which is a part of Uppsala Science Park. If you follow this link you can see where in town the conference will be held. Uppsala is a small city, and from the central station (around which there are plenty of hotels) it takes about 10mins with the bus and around 30mins to walk.

Uppsala is conveniently located 28 kilometers from Arlanda Airport, with regular train and bus services around the clock. As a #KU24 participant, you are expected to arrange and pay your own travels and accommodation.

Set-up and abstracts

In keeping with the tradition of KU Colloquia, the meeting is organised as a working meeting. All registered attendees will have an opportunity to submit an abstract for a current project or study or a study protocol. Abstracts will be collated and published online to share with other conference attendees of KU2024. The meeting agenda includes dedicate time to network and informally discuss the abstracts with other attendees. The abstract submission portal will be available no later than January 2024 for all registered participants, and attendees will receive confirmation of an accepted abstract.

Registration

Besides costs related to travel and accommodation, we expect each participant to pay a conference fee of approximately SEK 4 500. This includes conference rooms, three lunches, several opportunities for Swedish fika, and one common dinner.

We look forward to seeing you in Uppsala in 2024!
