A two-day workshop series on using mixed methods analysis techniques to explore and understand complex healthcare intervention research.

About

These workshops introduce participants to mixed methods research for complex healthcare interventions by highlighting its benefits, research designs, and approaches to developing research questions. They will focus on guiding participants in understanding and practicing mixed methods data analysis through interactive sessions. Participants will explore techniques for integrating both group- and individual-level qualitative and quantitative data, gaining hands-on experience with analysis methods tailored to complex healthcare research.

Registration details

To confirm your participation, please submit this registration form by 28 March. The number of workshop places is limited. If necessary, we will operate a waiting list.

The workshops are free of charge, and lunch and fika are included!

Workshop leader

The workshops are led by Dr. Holly Sugg, Lecturer in Nursing, Academy of Nursing, Faculty of Life and Health Sciences, University of Exeter, UK.

Holly's research focuses on the development, evaluation and personalisation of complex healthcare interventions, especially psychological therapies for depression, using quantitative, qualitative, and integrative mixed methods research.

Bring your project!

Participants are encouraged to bring their own project data. You will work with it during and between the two workshops to deepen your learning!

Guidance

Projects should include both quantitative and qualitative data within a single healthcare intervention study. Ensure that your data is pseudonymised but can be linked to individual participants (e.g., using study ID). If you have already analysed the data separately, bring both raw and analysed versions.
