You are warmly welcome to a seminar by Associate Senior Lecturer Sophie N. Gaber, which will focus on realist reviews.

Realist reviews are a theory-driven and pragmatic research approach to synthesising evidence on complex interventions. Traditionally, systematic reviews have focused primarily on determining the effectiveness of an intervention. In contrast, realist reviews are designed to explore how, why, for whom, and under what circumstances interventions work, or do not work. Realist methods are increasingly applied to health, social, and policy research to better understand interventions in relation to the complexity of real-world settings and diverse contexts.
In this seminar, Associate Senior Lecturer Sophie N. Gaber will discuss underlying principles, processes, and application of realist reviews and their relevance for complex interventions.
The seminar will be held in English and is open to anyone interested.
