Funding for investigating psychosocial stress as a risk factor for myocardial infarction
A grant of SEK 250 000 has been approved for a project that will investigate psychosocial stress as a risk factor for younger and older patients who suffer a myocardial infarction. The funding has been approved by the Swedish funding association Riksförbundet HjärtLung.

Erik Olsson is principal investigator for the project:
– This funding enables us to investigate the particular situation for younger patients who have suffered a myocardial infarction, says Erik Olsson. We will compare patients who are 55 years old or younger with patients who are older than 55 years old.
