Welcome to U-CARE and the research group Healthcare Sciences and e-Health, Louise Asberg Dun! Louise will work as a Research Assistant within the CHANGE research project. CHANGE aims to evaluate a support programme for parents of children who have been treated for cancer.
Research assistant within CHANGE
As a research assistant within the CHANGE research project, Louise will primarily work with the recruitment of study participants and contribute with feedback to the development of the online research platform the U-CARE Platform.
Louise has recently moved back to Sweden after living in Scotland for the past five years.
– I studied at the University of Glasgow where I obtained a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Global Mental Health, says Louise.
Research in practice
Louise says that she is looking forward to learn more about how research is done in practice and interact with study participants.
– Within CHANGE, an advisory group of parents of children who have been treated for cancer will contribute actively to the project in different ways. The group will for example be involved in the design of invitation letters to potential study participants, contribute to the analysis, and help disseminating the study's results outside of academy.
Enjoys playing games
In her spare time, Louise likes to play different types of games, both computer games and board games. Baldur's Gate 3 is one of her favorite computer games. It is a role-playing game that takes place in a fantasy world.
– It involves exploring an exciting world and you can choose between being different characters, Louise explains. Along the way, you defeat different enemies and take part in shaping a story. I like the game because it is so well written regarding the story and the characters.
