Rummage Isaac appointed as PhD student at U-CARE

Rummage Isaac has recently been appointed as PhD student at U-CARE.
We are excited to welcome Rummage Isaac, who has recently been appointed as a PhD student in our research group.
Rummage Isaac’s PhD project is part of A Safer Future, a research project that examines how care, education and research can meet the support needs of sexual and gender minority forced migrants in Sweden. His research examines the intersectional challenges impacting their psychosocial health and well-being in a new society. It explores the role of peer support and involves the co-creation of a psychosocial intervention in collaboration with the target population.
Rummage Isaac is looking forward to researching directly with the target population and learning from their lived experiences.
– It’s a privilege to work alongside a community that is underrepresented in research. I’m especially motivated by the opportunity to co-create an intervention that has the potential to support and improve the health and well-being of forced migrants, says Rummage Isaac.
Rummage’s main supervisor is Tommy Carlsson, and his co-supervisors are Maria Gottvall and Joanne Woodford.
We are so happy that Rummage Isaac has joined U-CARE!
