Louise von Essen appointed Programme Director for U-CARE
Professor Louise von Essen.
We are pleased to announce that Louise von Essen has been appointed Programme Director for U-CARE for a further three years, starting on 1 October 2025.
Louise von Essen is a licensed psychologist and Professor of Caring Sciences. Her research focuses on supporting parents of children who have been treated for cancer, and she leads projects both in Sweden and in Tanzania.
The decision was made today, 28 April, by Vice-Rector Mats Larhed following a proposal from the Executive Committee of the Disciplinary Domain Board of Medicine and Pharmacy.
We very much look forward to Louise continuing as Programme Director over the coming three years!
