Last week, U-CARE had the pleasure of welcoming our new Guest Professor, Shaun Treweek, to Uppsala University. During his two-day visit, he met with U-CARE researchers and researchers associated researchers to U-CARE, to learn more about the many ongoing research projects we conduct. He also met with the Head of the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.
As part of his visit, he gave a well-received presentation on the theme ‘Why equity, diversity and inclusion matter for trial recruitment and retention’, where he shared his experiences and reflections on the importance of diversity and inclusion when recruiting to clinical trials.
We at U-CARE would like to extend our warm thanks to Shaun Treweek for two exciting and insightful days. We look forward to a fruitful collaboration ahead!
