We are excited to launch a new PhD course with a unique focus: feasibility studies for complex healthcare interventions.

Docent Joanne Woodford will lead the course.

– Most methods courses on the development and evaluation of complex healthcare interventions typically only touch briefly on the feasibility phase. This course is unique in being dedicated entirely to this topic. It really provides PhD students with the in-depth knowledge and skills needed to design and conduct feasibility studies.

Through a mix of lectures, seminars, and workshops, participants will explore methodological considerations such as sample size, progression criteria, study designs, and the use of mixed-methods approaches. Students will also receive hands-on support to apply these methods to design a feasibility study.

📅 Course period: May–June 2026
