ENLIGHT Thematic Networks grant awarded to U-CARE researcher

Congratulations to U-CARE researcher Kine Johansen, who has been awarded funding within the ENLIGHT Thematic Networks 2025 for the project CoMOVE – Collaborating for Early Motor Development.
The project, coordinated by Associate Professor Lynn Bar-On at Ghent University, has been granted a total of €100,000 and brings together researchers from Ghent University, the University of Groningen, and Uppsala University. Kine Johansen, based at U-CARE, Department of Women’s and Children’s Health, Uppsala University, leads the Swedish contribution with a project budget of €40,000.
Focus on early motor development
The CoMOVE project aims to strengthen collaboration, education, and research in the area of early motor development, an early marker for identifying children with developmental neurological or neuropsychiatric conditions.
– This grant gives us the opportunity to deepen our collaboration and identify new ways to strengthen knowledge and innovation in early motor development in children. I am very proud and grateful to be part of this team, says Kine Johansen.
The project runs from November 2025 to October 2027 and involves close collaboration between partners in Sweden, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
