Only two weeks remain until U-CARE PhD Candidate Frida Svedin defends her thesis ‘Optimizing implementability when developing complex interventions: Guided low-intensity behavioral activation for people with dementia’.

Frida’s thesis focuses on the development and implementation of support programmes for people with dementia, with a particular emphasis on how complex interventions can be adapted to work effectively in real-world practice.
– In short, my thesis explores the potential for future implementation of a support programme for people with dementia, says Frida Svedin.
As part of the preparations for the dissertation, Frida held a pre-seminar today. After presenting a summary of her thesis, a discussion led by researcher Kine Johansen took place.
Among the topics discussed were who the support programme is primarily intended for – people with dementia or their informal caregivers – and which challenges would need to be addressed to implement the programme within regular healthcare services.
Thank you for an engaging and insightful discussion, we now look forward to the defence in just a couple of weeks!
