Oscar Blomberg’s dissertation focuses on developing psychological support for people with dementia and their informal caregivers.
– My dissertation is part of two different but related projects, says Oscar Blomberg. One part involves further developing a support programme for people with dementia and adapting it to the Swedish context. The other part explores the support needs and the challenges experienced by daughter caregivers supporting a parent with dementia.
As part of the preparations for his defence, a pre-seminar was arranged today. After presenting a summary of his dissertation, a discussion followed, led by Researcher Anna Kharko.
The conversation touched on, among other things, the challenge of carrying out a PhD project that is part of two different research projects, the ethical aspects of involving informal caregivers of people with dementia, and the heterogeneity of depression.
We are now looking forward to the dissertation next week!
