Pre-exascale system will be placed in Finland
A EuroHPC Joint Undertaking, involving Finland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Norway, Poland, Sweden and Switzerland, will be placing a large HPC system at CSC in Finland. Scientists in member countries will be able to use the machine starting Q4 2020.
The computer will be capable of over 200 pflop/s in compute and will have over 60 PB of storage. The compute component is provided by a large amount of GPU nodes, but there will also be a CPU-only partition and an IaaS cloud part.
