Rackham and Crex extensions installed
The long-awaited extensions of the compute cluster Rackham, and its storage system, Crex, has been installed and will soon be ready to use.
Projects allocated on the resources have already been activated, but it will be some time before they will be fully usable. Data on the old disks must be copied to the new part of Crex, and the new compute nodes must pass a series of acceptance tests.
Once the data already on Crex has been moved, we will start to move many projects from Pica to Crex. You may experience poor responsiveness due to the heavy load during this time. It is crucial that we do this as quickly as possible, because when parts of Pica break down they are no longer being replaced.
