20 million jobs on Rackham
Today, the 20 millionth job on Rackham was submitted.
The honour of this milestone falls to a modest 4-core job called "poplar", in a small project on group selection in forest tree breeding.
The aim of the project is to test whether group selection could be used in forest tree breeding using data from ALTRI Eucalyptus breeding program and data from the Populus nigra breeding program. In the eucalyptus, focus is on growth related traits, whereas in the poplar the focus is resistance to fungi.
