After 9 years of operations run under the leadership of Professor Dan Andersson, the UAC starts a new chapter in 2026 with Professor Linus Sandegren as director. We sit down with him to talk about his view on this new role and what lies ahead for our center.

Uppsala Antibiotic Days 2026
Our flagship conference, now in its third edition, will take place on June 15th & 16th, 2026. The UAD is a welcoming space for students, early-career researchers, and established experts alike. Focusing on collaboration and exchange across disciplines, the broad program will cover drug discovery, diagnostics, social sciences, infection control, and antibiotic use effects, among other topics.
