New postdoc welcomed — Ida Ohlsson Al Fakir
Historian Ida Ohlsson Al Fakir began her postdoc employment at HVC on September 1st

Ida earned her doctorate in history last year with a dissertation on "social citizenship", and science and policy in the Swedish government "Gypsy study" of 1962-1965 (Swedish title: Nya rum för socialt medborgarskap. Om vetenskap och politik i ’Zigenarundersökningen' – en socialmedicinsk studie av svenska romer 1962-1965). Her postdoc project treats the social activities of the Swedish Church aimed at migrants and minorities — there among Roma and Resande (Travellers) — at the turn of the century 1900 and 2000, respectively.
