New PhD project

Lior Becker was admitted to the graduate program at the Department of History on a PhD project concerning the so-called Yizkor books. These memory books began to be published during the Holocaust and give a vivid insight into the Jewish society before, during and after the genocide of European Jews. The project aims at a first depth analysis of these works as historical documents, literary works, and as an important part of the Holocaust and the Jewish people's cultural memory.
