Dr. Borges will work on the project "The New Speakers of Wymysory" at the Hugo Valentin Centre
We are happy to announce that Dr. Robert Borges, a linguist with specialization in sociolinguistics and contact-induced language change, has taken up his position as post-doctoral research fellow.

Dr. Borges will work on the project “The New Speakers of Wymysorys: the reconstitution of the local language and sociolinguistic identity in Wilamowice”. The project deals with the composition of the Wymysorys speech community and the success of recent grassroots revitalization efforts by investigating proficiency and language attitudes among young learners of the language. We are very happy to welcome Robert to our research environment!
