Enrico Gargiulo is associate professor of Sociology at the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the University of Bologna, Italy. He is a scholar of citizenship, local membership and migrants' integration.

Lena Karamanidou (Glasgow, UK)
Lena Karamanidou is a researcher at the Department of Economics and Law of Glasgow Caledonian University. Her research focuses on the European border regime, especially in relation to the Greek-Turkish land border, border violence and pushback practices, the EU agency Frontex, and EU migration policies and discourse, racism and exclusion. She is a member of RESPOND.
Bernd Kasparek (Munich, Germany)
Bernd Kasparek is a mathematician and cultural anthropologist researching in the interdisciplinary field of migration and border studies. His focus is on the European border regime and processes of Europeanisation. His German language book "Europe as Border. An Ethnography of the Border Control Agency Frontex" is forthcoming in May 2021 by transcript. He is a member of the research association bordermonitoring.eu e.V. and member of the editorial board of movements - Journal for critical migration and border regime studies.
