The workshop is a continuation of a couple of on-line workshops on “Post-Soviet Women” that took place at IRES since September 2020. A common book: Post-Soviet Women – New Challenges and Ways to Empowerment”, is in progress and the workshop is devoted to discuss some issues related to this book, i.e. women’s positions, roles and activism in post-Soviet countries.

The workshop is organised by the Institute for Russian and Eurasian Studies (IRES), Department of Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology and Uppsala Forum on Democracy, Peace and Justice, all three at Uppsala University, as well as the Centre for Baltic and East European Studies (CBEES) at Södertörn University.
