The BUP student conference 2022
The Baltic University Programme’s coordinating secretariat at Uppsala University and Slovak University of Agriculture, can proudly present the BUP’s annual student conference 2022. This year, we are focusing on the topic Resilient food systems from a Baltic Sea Region perspective.
In times of climate change and other crises, the importance of resilient and sustainable food systems are increasingly significant. During our four days conferences on the island of Gotland, the students will get a unique experience learning from regional experts and local food producers.
The BUP will cover all participant's costs of accommodation, food and travels from Stockholm to Visby and back. Applications are open for students studying at bachelor and master level at The Baltic University Programme’s participating universities (Link removed) .
Accepted students will spend two full days on the island of Gotland, located in the middle of the Baltic Sea. During these days, students will take part in lectures, workshops and discussions with experts from academia, civil society and local food producers. Participants will also get the opportunity to visit a productive organic farm as well as take part in a guided tour of the Medieval Hanseatic city of Visby, which is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.
Students accepted to the student conference 2022, will automatically become members of the students' parliament (Link removed) . Allowing them to vote, suggest proposal and run as a candidate as the BUP students' representative to the BUP's international board.
