RESCUU networking workshop

The BUP calls for colleagues to join this networking workshop that will be dedicated to the update of the ongoing research on assessing the consequences the Russian military aggression on Ukraine’s environment. The second session will be in the form of the networking event.

Within the RESCUU project, Ukrainian researchers, coordinated by the Department of Environmental Studies at National University Kyiv Mohyla Academy, and working with ecological damage, environmental restoration, and post-disaster recovery of Ukraine are looking for new contacts in these fields: to share experiences and information, to develop cooperation and possible common project.

The workshop will focus on assessing the consequences of the destruction caused by the Russian Federation after the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam. The workshop will delve into three main research themes: impact assessment, remediation, and monetary evaluation of damage. The event will commence with three keynote interventions, followed by contributions from participants. Anyone whose current research is related to any of the aforementioned themes – impact assessment, remediation, and monetary evaluation of damage – is welcome to share their research with colleagues and invite collaboration.

This workshop will be organised online on 29 September 2023 (9-12 CET /10-13 Kyiv).

Please note that the original date has been changed to 29/9!

So all interested in cooperation with Ukraine researchers are welcome to participate in the workshop and invite interested colleagues.
