The BUP Symposium will welcome 80 researchers from the BUP participating universities, in addition to the PhD students from this event.
At the BUP Symposium, the PhD participants are welcome to hold poster presentations. The posters need to be sent to the BUP Coordinating Secretariat two weeks before the presentation for approval. Practical information
There is no participation fee for the training and the BUP will provide all meals. However, the students are expected to cover their travel and accommodation. To cover the expenses the PhD candidates can apply for Erasmus+ grants. This program will most probably be organised as a BIP (Blended Intensive Programme) for which Erasmus+ grants are eligible. Please contact an Erasmus coordinator at your home university regarding questions on how to apply.
We are happy to help with all necessary documentation needed for the Erasmus application (invitation letter, training program etc.).
As Ukrainian and Swedish students are not eligible for Erasmus grants for this event, the selected students from these countries will be contacted by the BUP Coordinating Secretariat individually regarding the possibility of receiving financial support for accommodation.
Ukrainian students who can't travel will have the possibility to join some parts of the PhD Students Training online through Zoom.
Cancellation policy
If you don't show up or cancel your participation with late notice, after 31 October 2025, we hold the right to charge you or your university department the cost of your participation (300 €). We only accept late cancellations due to illness, family-related matters, or force majeure, if sufficient documents can be provided (doctor's certificate, etc.).
Credits
No ECTS are granted for this training but each participant will get a certificate with suggested ECTS. After the successful accomplishment of the training it is up to the home university to decide whether they grant a participant the suggested ECTS or not.
