BUP Teachers' Day 2026

This event is open to all teachers in higher education at BUP participating universities. It is a possibility to network, gain new knowledge and inspiration, and share experiences and best practices with colleagues around the Baltic Sea Region. The event organiser is The Baltic University Programme‘s Associate Secretariat at Åbo Akademi University, Finland.

The title this year is 'How to Deal with Eco-emotions - An Interactive Lecture for University Teachers' and the event will be led by Minerva Peijari, Social psychologist specialised in environmental issues at Tunne ry - Känsla rf and Erika Silventoinen, Educational Developer at the Archipelago Sea Area Biosphere Reserve. The Teachers' Day will take place on 23 March at 13-15.30 CET.

Description of the event:

Do you or your students have emotions about climate change, environmental issues or the future? How do you deal with them? Welcome to this interactive lecture, where you will learn more about how to address, express and handle eco-emotions. We will give you tools to engage with emotions and build active hope - for yourself, your students and your community.
