Biography
Professor 1992-2010, Senior Professor 2010-11, and since 2011 Professor Emeritus of Solid Mechanics, Uppsala University. MSc in Engineering Physics 1966 and PhD in Solid Mechanics 1972, Chalmers. Scientist, Atlas Copco Central Laboratories 1967-71 and Institut CERAC S.A. (Switzerland) 1971-74. Professor of Solid Mechanics, Luleå University of Technology 1973-92. Scientific Advisor, Sandvik 1979-2016. Adjunct Director of Research, Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOA/FOI) 1993-2005.
