Since 2021, Xin Mao (毛鑫)has been a PhD researcher in ethics, writing her thesis on the relation between duties and rights in the universal human rights discourse with a cross-cultural perspective.
She already held a PhD in continental philosophy from King's College, London (2017) and her previous thesis was on the concept of utopia and subjectivity in the philosophy of Emmanuel Levinas.
Her current research interests are: political ethics, critical human rights studies, human rights and China.
