Hanna Åberg

Short presentation

I hold a PhD in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Bologna. My interests lie in interdisciplinary research on vernacular landscape, gardening, conservation, environmental adaptation, planning and policy, especially in relation to perception and place identity.

I am currently a substitute lecturer in Human Geography at the Department of Human Geography, Campus Gotland.

Biography

In recent years I have been involved in two different research groups focussing on sustainable planning, climate and cultural heritage: in the Department of Architecture in Bologna and in Environmental Psychology in the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture at Lund University, LU. Through these research groups I have worked on a number of international research projects (e.g. RURITAGE, TExTOUR, RURACTIVE and TRIGGER) often related to climate policy, participatory processes and cultural history in planning.
