Felicia Asplund Nilsson

Short presentation

I´m a PhD student at the center as part of the interdisciplinary research school The Future of Democracy: Cultural Analyses of Illiberal Populism in Times of Crises (FUDEM). My project investigates articulations of anti-genderism - which includes aversions towards feminisms and queer and trans projects- in Swedish far right parliamentary discourse. I´m especially interested in how issues pertaining to gender, sexuality and reproduction are articulated through nationalist and racist frameworks.

Biography

I teach on the undergraduate level in topics such as sex and gender, intersectionality, black feminism and postcolonial feminism.
